This is where the rubber hits the road, especially on facade restoration projects where multiple fabricators of custom architectural products need to fit together and work. Each individual fabricator’s shop drawings focus on their particular product, and installers tend to be different contractors. Depending on how complex the job is will depend on who and how the coordination gets done, but it is an absolute requirement that this task be performed. Sometimes the GC does coordination, but sometimes the GC wants to bring in an expert. Stone Details is that expert. We coordinate different fabricators shop drawings, prepare coordination drawings, prepare installation drawings, confirm scope of work, analyze for clashes or gaps, analyze the relationship between the products and coordinate the resolution of any problems we detect.
